The 1991 Jeep Wrangler Renegade (YJ) was a specialized, limited-production trim package ($4,266 premium) featuring a 190-hp 4.0L High Output I6 engine, distinct fiberglass body flares with integrated steps, fog lamps, and 5-hole aluminum wheels. Only 3,692 were produced, featuring full-time 4WD and a 20-gallon tank. 

• Engine: 4.0-liter (242 CID) Inline-6, 190 horsepower, 225 lb-ft of torque.
• Transmission: 5-speed manual (standard) or automatic (optional).
• Exterior: Unique, molded fiberglass body-colored fender flares and rocker panel extensions, integrated front fog lamps, and wider, 8-inch aluminum wheels.
• Available Colors: White, Black, Red, Hunter Green Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, and others.
• Interior: High-back seats with "Trailcloth" fabric, leather-wrapped steering wheel, full carpeting, and center console.
• Options: A hardtop was a $923 option; air conditioning was also available. 

• Outsourced Assembly: While branded as a Jeep, the Renegade package was actually installed by Autostyle in Michigan, to which Jeep sent base Wranglers for customization.
• Significance: 1991 marked the first year of the 4.0-liter HO engine for the Wrangler, significantly boosting performance.
• Production Volume: A relatively low number, 3,692, were produced for the 1991 model year.
• Market Position: It was designed to be a more comfortable, street-oriented luxury variant of the standard, rugged Wrangler, often called the "weirdest" street-performance 4x4 of the era due to its body kit
